Calendar Of Hope 2010

Breast cancer has either effected a family member or someone you know.  This is the second year that Cindy Moore has published a calendar for the benefit of breast cancer.  This is really a nice calendar, it has 14 dishcloth patterns that are brand new (one of them is mine) and we just want to inform those who are interested in helping the cause and collecting another great calendar.  Please consider purchasing this calendar.  The cost for the downloadable version is $15.  The printed calendar, which I produce every year, is $20 plus $5 for shipping for those who live in the US or Canada.  Those living outside the US or Canada need to add an extra $3 on the shipping. If you want to purchase a printed version go to www.paypal.com and select “send money” and send it to jnogle@cox.net  If there are questions, you can contact me at jnogle@cox.net.

Kick Off of the 2010 Knitting Calendar “Dishcloth Hangups For 2010”

** UPDATE** If you use an E Check through Paypal there is a 3 to 4 day wait for the check to clear

***UPDATE***  Peaches N Creme, our sponsor has developed yarn packages to compliment the patterns in our calendar.  You can check out the packages at:  http://www.peaches-creme.com/Calendar%20Pre%20Pack%202010.htm

Welcome to the home of the Dishcloth Calendar.  Our calendars have more than dishcloths, you will see towels, placemat, totes, sets and even a Kitty/Doggie bed. We always have a variety of items to choose from and we have clients that have every calendar we ever produced.  We have a lot to cover in this message so here goes……

2010 Calendar Cover REV 080809This is what our new cover looks like, there were so many items I couldn’t fit all of them in the photo. We even have a crocheted item in the mix.  If you design crochet items for the home, drop me a note we all like crochet and knitted items.

You can find more information about what is in our calendar by visiting http://2010knittingcalendar.blogspot.com/  and checking all the updates for the patterns that are included in the calendar.

There will also be a raffle with 3 separate prizes being awarded.  The 1st prize is a basket that you can use to put together your own gift basket for a friend or loved one and the basket will be full of yarn to get you on your way.  The 2nd prize is a pair of knitting needles that say “I Love Knitting” along with 3 skeins of yarn and the third prize will be 3 skeins of yarn.  All the yarn is provided by Peaches & Crème.  You can find out more about Peaches & Crème by visiting their website at:  http://www.peaches-creme.com/index.htm.  What do you have to do in order to win one of the prizes…absolutely nothing!  Everyone who purchases a calendar, download or printed by October 15th will automatically be entered in our give-away.  We will then have the drawing on October 28th(Photos are listed at the end of this message)

All Hearts Lead to Home

We have posted a free pattern called “All Hearts Lead To Home” (located in the “free patterns” area).  Sue Schaefer is the designer and this is absolutely beautiful!

What else comes along with the calendar?  Well, you will receive four gift cards to be included when you are making up gift baskets.  If you purchased the download version,  you can find the card as a “bonus” download, if you purchased the printed copy 4 cards will be mailed to you with your calendar.  Each page has 2 cards, if you fold in half lengthwise and cut in half it becomes 2 cards.  Write your note on the blank portion, fold the card closed and WALA you have a knitting illustrated gift card.  I have a photo at the bottom of this message showing how the card looks with a note.

The other freebie is membership in a special Yahoo group.  This group is set up to house all of the patterns and photos that are in the calendar.  This is especially important for those that purchased the printed version.  You won’t have to mark up your printed copy, if you don’t want to, when making a pattern, just go to the Yahoo group and either download or print that particular pattern to use as your worksheet.  You can print out as many as you like and you don’t have to install it on your hard drive.  The other advantage to joining the group is periodically we will post a KAL/pattern to the site and if you don’t belong to the group, you won’t be able to receive the pattern.  Just send me a note requesting to join the Yahoo group after you purchased the calendar and I will send you an invitation to join.  If you purchased the 2009 calendar just make sure when you send your request to join the 2010 that you include that group as well.  It may take several days for all of this to happen.  I haven’t gotten the site operable yet but when I have completed uploading all of the patterns I will start sending out the invitations.  Your invitation will be sent to the email on your note so if you prefer a different email be used, just let me know.  I do check to make sure you purchased the calendar, I only do that to be fair to those who had to purchase the calendar to join.

I know I must have forgotten something but if I have, I will update the info so you have everything you need.

Thanks for your support and I look forward to working with you in 2010.

Calendar Update for August 27th

I will be giving everyone updates on the progress of our calendar leading up to September 5th.  There will be a big announcement on September 5th when we have the official kick off for the “Dishcloth Hangups For 2010”.   A few days ago I found out that Kay Gardiner will be joining us again this year with one of her creations.  I was SO excited about that because she always has very unique designs and this year is no different.  I am going to save the surprise though until you actual purchase the calendar.  Kay will have a surprise as well when she sees where her design is located, it just shows my warped sense of humor so if you are a very serious minded person that doesn’t have a sense of humor you probably won’t like having a calendar with an extra month in it.  Oh did I just spoil the surprise?

The calendar was finalized yesterday and I have started the printing cycle.  For those that Pre-Ordered, you will probably see your calendar a little earlier.  I need to start making the labels for everyone so they will be ready to ship out of here.  You may have a few questions about the shipping process and it works like this, first in, first out.  That means if you placed an order on the 14th, chances are your calendar will be sent out in the first batch.  There is a good chance that some of you may have your calendar on the 5th or sooner.  When you see the PayPal email from me, that is letting you know your calendar has been shipped.

All the information about the calendar and raffle will be announced on Sept 5th.  I can tell you there will be three prizes awarded.  Two of them are shown below, 3rd prize will be 3 skeins of Peaches N Creme yarn.  Remember to check back here often between now and September 5th.

WOW Aren’t We Pretty

Welcome to our new home.  We are so excited to be able to have our little place on the Internet.

Today is the day that we start accepting Pre-Orders for our printed calendar.  The download version will be available on Sept 5th.

If you want to place an order for the printed version below is some information about that process:

The prices this year for the calendar are $16 for a download copy and $18 for a printed copy (the extra $2 help to cover my printing costs.) Shipping for the printed copies works like this: $5 shipping and handling for the first calendar you order and $2 additional shipping for each additional calendar you order. So for example, one printed calendar costs $23 (18+5) and two calendars would cost a total of $43 (18+18+5+2). Anymore placing an order between now and September 5th will also receive a free gift.

If you are ordering more than one printed calendar you have two options. You can either contact me to tell me how many calendars you want and I will send you an invoice or you can order through our automated process but you will need to add the additional calendars to the shopping cart one at a time. For example: I want three calendars, how do I complete this? Go to the page that has all the 2010 calendars listed. Put the first one in the shopping cart…you will see it listed in the cart to the right. Scroll down and add the one marked “Second Printed Copy” and then scroll down and add the the one marked “Third Printed Copy”. When you check out, make sure you see three calendars listed in the shopping cart. We had to do it that way to discount the shipping on the additional calendars. Payment is made through PayPal and you will be prompted for a shipping address if you do not have one set up. Simple as that!
There will be a raffle held on October 15th. All the people who purchased a calendar will automatically be entered in the drawing. We will select 3 lucky winners to receive the following prizes:

1st Prize: Gift basket filled with yarn. This basket can be used for you to make up a gift using your own items to include in the basket for a friend or maybe your mom. The second prize is 3 skeins of yarn with a pair of knitting needles that say “I Love Knitting” and third prize is 3 skeins of yarn.

Thanks for your support, if you have any questions feel free to contact me at jnogle@cox.net
