2011 Knitting Calendar

2011 Knitting Calendar:

Well we are getting closer to the KickOff.  The “actual” Kickoff will take place on September 12th.

At that time download and printed versions will be available.

For those interested in purchasing the “Printed” version only we will open up the “Pre Orders” on Sept 5th, what that means is those who want the printed version will be able to purchase those early.  They will be mailed out on a first come, first serve basis.  This allows us to determine how many printed copies we will need to have available for purchase.  All orders in the US will be sent out via Priority Mail, all orders outside the US will be sent out via First Class, along with a little gift.  The charges are broken down below:

2011 Knitting Calendar Printed:

2011 Knitting Calendar $19 + $5 Shipping = $24

All other Calendars:  $19 + the following  shipping charges:

Shipping for 2 $7

Shipping for 3 $9

Shipping for 4 $11

Shipping for 5 $13

Shipping for 6 or more $15

The download copy will sell for $17 starting Sept 12th

You will also see our Free Sweater Dishcloth on September 12th.  Along with the free dishcloth we will award 3 prizes.  The prizes will be yarn, stitch markers and some highlight craft tape.  You don’t have to do anything, all the groups supporting us will be included in the drawings.  There will be 5 skeins of yarn in each packet.  If you are not apart of any of our groups, just send me an email and I will add your name to the drawings.

Back copies of previous calendars will also be available.  For the 2010 calendar the download version will be available for $16 and the 2009 dowloaded copy will be $12.

To purchase the Printed Versions early, you will need to visit www.paypal.com and select “Send Money” and send the money to jnogle@cox.net for 1 calendar $24, for 2 calendars $45, for 3 calendars $66.  Just assure that I have your correct address and the number of calendars you want.  I can only ship to one address so If you want the addresses broken up into two shipments, you will need to add $5 to your payment.

What will you see during the “Kick Off”…..well there will be three give aways of yarn, Stitch Markers and special tape.

Below is a photo of what I mean

Three drawings to be held with #1 receiving 5 skeins of yarn, two sets of stitch markers and a roll of marking tape.  I don’t know if you have ever used it, but this stuff is great!!!!  It is re-usable, you put it on the row you are working and wala….then you move it to the next line and so on and it comes out great!

Every year we have a free cloth to kick off our calendar.  This year we want to keep you warm, here is the cloth:

I will provide the pattern instructions when we kick off our calendar in September.

Another item you will see in our calendar is below, the calendar will have over 30 designs to keep you busy.  You probably won’t knit all of them but this one will fit in with any basket or gift giving occasion. What is great about this cloth is the wrong side looks as great as the right side.

The first photo is showing you what it looks like on the right side and the second photo is showing you how it would look on the wrong side.

I am going over the patterns and looking to see where they would look the best so that is going on right now and as soon as I assign months and positions to all the patterns you will hear more from me.  So for now I am just establishing where everything should be.  I will have some country recipes to share with you as well.  We are going to make this calendar have the feel of “Country” so we hope to take you back to a much easier time with our layed back designs and country traditions.

Lindy has submitted a cloth that fits well in September, getting ready for the fall period.

Here is a little glimpse at a Roses N Creme Towel Set of mine, you can make the towel as big or small as you like to fit in the kitchen or the bathroom.  The towel has a unique way of closing to look like a rose bud.

Allie also submitted this adorable Rooster and you will love this little guy, I am working on this design because it is so “Country”

Just an update on what is going on with the calendar.  I have received most of the patterns to be considered for our new calendar so we are getting closer to finalizing our 2011 Knitting Calendar.

You will be happy to hear that Frodo after a very LONG search has found his long lost brother.  He is so happy to find a family member that he has asked that “Pepper” (yes, that is his name) be mentioned in our calendar this year.  So…..you will be seeing both of them in our calendar. Below is a letter I received from Frodo prior to him finding his brother.

Anyway, Elaine has accepted our invitation to join us this year and what a cute set she has come up with for our younger members.

We hope you like her version of our “Country Critters”.  Elaine always does such a great job of coming up with awesome designs.  These would be great gifts for a baby shower, a new arrival or any event. Each set includes a Bib and a Cloth.  You could make really cute baskets with this by adding baby powder, ointment, a rattler and Q tips. Our Critters names are Eleanor, Pete and Belle.

Now, I have gotten quite a few more photos to share with you but will only give you a few at a time while I am waiting for final approvals to take place on some of the items.

Alli has put together some great hot pads too.  I know we are all excited over the doggie sweater, that is a real plus this year but these hot pads are very bright.  I am also including a cloth with a cool chick on it.

I just love what Alli has come up with, it is an adorable dog sweater/vest and has the country fling because it has a dungeree theme. Little Frodo is ssssoooo adorable, what’s not to love here.

I understand that Frodo has visited England and the US looking for a brother he thinks is out there somewhere.  It is so hard to get people to discuss closed files of an orphanage in France and when he left there to go to England he was told that there was a fire several years back and a lot of records were lost.   We are hoping Frodo either finds his brother or proof that he is an only puppy so he can move on.  Lots more surprizes to come your way this year.
