Calendar Update With Photos

Knitting…Country Style

Just an update on what is going on with the calendar.  I have received most of the patterns to be considered for our new calendar so we are getting closer to finalizing our 2011 Knitting Calendar.

You will be happy to hear that Frodo after a very LONG search has found his long lost brother.  He is so happy to find a family member that he has asked that “Pepper” (yes, that is his name) be mentioned in our calendar this year.  So…..you will be seeing both of them in our calendar. Below is a letter I received from Frodo prior to him finding his brother.

Dear Auntie Janet,
 
My trip to England was fun, I picked up a new accent to fool around with when trying to attract the ladies! LOL But otherwise I didn’t find any LIVING relatives over there. I found what I believe to be some ancestral records which excitingly link me to the royal family!! I just KNEW there was something … ahem … “different and elite” about me! Hummphh Well enough of that for now.
 
I came home to find Mom attempting to mow the grass as a fun surprise for Dad (it was pathetic really … she was all sweaty and huffing and puffing and all red in the face too. I HAD to help her out, I didn’t think she was going to make it! Poor old girl!
 
Anyway here is a couple of pics of me taken after we were finished. I had Mom take them to prove that I’m not a lazy boy!  Does that green stuff come off?????

Anyway, Elaine has accepted our invitation to join us this year and what a cute set she has come up with for our younger members.

We hope you like her version of our “Country Critters”.  Elaine always does such a great job of coming up with awesome designs.  These would be great gifts for a baby shower, a new arrival or any event. Each set includes a Bib and a Cloth.  You could make really cute baskets with this by adding baby powder, ointment, a rattler and Q tips. Our Critters names are Eleanor, Pete and Belle.

    I do not own any of the calenders . But I can’t wait for the 2011 calender to be available. I think it will be great. Thanks for the updates. Photos are great.

    Thank you Janet! I just want to make sure that everyone knows that these bibs were knitted by my super test knitter, Denise Dussault Leduc. This is her picture that she graciously allowed us to use. She’s been a tremendous help to me and I think we can all agree that she is one talented knitter!!
